Bills defensive tackle Marcell Dareus was charged Tuesday with reckless endangerment in the second degree, reckless driving and participating in an illegal speed contest after witnesses say he was racing his white Jaguar against a man driving a black Camaro before crashing into a tree outside a restaurant.

Already, the team has said that Dareus won't return to the team for voluntary OTAs but will be back by mandatory mini-camp.

On Wednesday, the driver of that black Camaro came forward.

"Was I there? Yes," Jerry Hughes said, via Joe Buscaglia of WGR-AM (H/T to NFL.com). "I was driving my car. I was on the street while (Dareus) was on the street driving his vehicle as well. ...

"Like I said, they won't let me speak on the facts. So, it's a legal matter that the Hamburg Police is working on right now. They won't let me say too much about it. The facts are the facts though, I will say that."

Hughes has not been arrested nor, as far as we know, been charged with a crime.
