There wasn't much to like about the Chargers offensive line in 2012, but guard Louis Vasquez was the rare bright spot. And now he's headed to a division rival, as the Broncos signed Vasquez to a deal soon after free agency began at 4 p.m. ET Tuesday.

The deal was first reported by Mike Garafolo of USA Today, who reports that the deal is four years long, worth $23.5 million and contains $13 million in guaranteed money.

Broncos VP of Football Operations John Elway confirmed the news shortly after reports started leaking out.

This is a pretty fantastic signing for the Broncos. Their success is predicated on Peyton Manning. Peyton's success is predicated on being protected. Vasquez knows how to protect.

It works out pretty nicely, and it's only made better by the fact that the Broncos are taking a key player from their top division rival, even if the Chargers weren't that interested in bringing him back.
