Broncos TE Julius Thomas arrested on 'failure to appear' warrant
Denver Broncos tight end Julius Thomas was arrested on Aug. 28 on a failure to appear in court warrant.

The Denver Broncos may want to start keeping a calendar of players' court dates in the locker room so no one misses their court appearance. For the second time in less than a month, a Broncos player has been arrested on a failure to appear in court warrant.
Starting tight end Julius Thomas was arrested on Aug. 28, according to the Associated Press. Thomas was pulled over for speeding when the officer realized that the Broncos starting tight end had a warrant out for his arrest.
Thomas' failure to appear warrant stems from a traffic citation he received in January. The 25-year-old was given a ticket on Jan. 25 for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and then failed to show up for his court date on March 21.
"We were notified of the issue involving Julius Thomas when it occurred on Aug. 28. It was addressed internally and is being resolved," the Broncos said in a statement.
Thomas posted a $500 bond on the day he was arrested.
Suspended Broncos linebacker Von Miller was also arrested on a failure to appear in court warrant. Miller was arrested on Aug. 11 at a gun club in Araphoe County.
Thomas is expected to be the starting tight end for the Broncos in the NFL opener on Thursday and his arrest isn't expected to change that.
