Cardinals make offer to pass rusher John Abraham
The Arizona Cardinals are making a big play for veteran pass rusher John Abraham, Jason La Canfora says.
The Cardinals are making a push to land pass rusher John Abraham, who visited there Wednesday and has already received a contract offer from the club, according to league sources. Abraham and Richard Seymour are the most accomplished pass rushers still on the market, and Abraham has already visited with several clubs.
Abraham is being monitored closely by several teams but no other visits are planned. He is mulling the Cardinals situation.
Arizona is also closing in on a deal with veteran right tackle Eric Winston, a source said. That deal is expected to be concluded within the next 24 hours. Winston, like Abraham, visited several teams earlier in the preseason but teams were not willing to pay him what he believed his market value should be.
