Chiefs-Patriots injury updates for Jeremy Maclin, Justin Houston, Hali

Kansas City Chiefs outside linebackers Justin Houston and Tamba Hali each got in a limited practice on Friday after not practicing at all on either Wednesday or Thursday. They were both listed as questionable on Kansas City's Friday injury report as well.

According to CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora, though, the Chiefs feel good about having both Houston and Hali available for the game. Their teammate, wide receiver Jeremy Maclin, who did not practice at all this week and also received the questionable tag due to an ankle injury suffered against Houston in the wild-card game, has a less clear status for Saturday.

Houston and Hali form the backbone of a ferocious pass rush that is one of the keys to the Chiefs beind able to come away with a win. Putting pressure on Tom Brady and not letting him deliver the ball on schedule to his cadre of weapons would go a long way toward keeping the Chiefs in the game.

Maclin, meanwhile, is Kansas City's best offensive weapon. He seems likely to be limited on the field even if he does go, which isn't exactly great news for KC. Alex Smith would be down to Albert Wilson and Chris Conley as his top receivers if Maclin can't get on the field.
