Colts place DT Fili Moala on IR list
After one of the better seasons of his career in 2013, Colts defensive tackle Fili Moala is out for 2014.
Colts defensive tackle Fili Moala is coming off a season in which he tied his career-high with 26 tackles while recording 1.5 sacks and starting six of 16 games.
But he won't be a factor in 2014 after the Colts announced Wednesday they had placed him on the IR list.
According to NFL.com, Moala partially tore his ACL in practice after banging his right knee against a teammate's. Though it's not a full tear, the knee apparently is injured enough that Moala, who missed eight games in 2012 with the same injury, will have lose the season.
In a corresponding move, the Colts signed free agent defensive end Gannon Conway to replace Moala's spot on the roster.
