Colts trade A.Q. Shipley to Ravens for 2014 draft pick
With the Ravens giving up a conditional draft pick to the Colts in order to acquire center A.Q. Shipley, Baltimore adds depth to its line.
The Colts announced Thursday they have traded center A.Q. Shipley to the Ravens for a 2014 conditional draft pick, allowing Baltimore to add depth to a position that will miss the retired Matt Birk next season.
The move also means Indianapolis is satisfied with either Samson Satele -- who started 11 games last year -- or fourth-round pick Khaled Holmes in that position for next season.
Meanwhile, Shipley, who started five games in Indianapolis last season, will battle with Gino Gradkowski -- a 2012 fourth-round pick – and Ryan Jensen for the right to replace Birk as the Ravens' starting center.
So, how did Shipley react to the news?
