More on Davone Bess: Wideout was hospitalized 10 months ago

A day after a photo posted on social media by Browns receiver Davone Bess drew suspicion for containing a substance that looked like marijuana, Bess reportedly was arrested Friday morning at the Fort Lauderdale International Airport.

According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, Bess was taken into custody at 6:19 a.m. Friday for assaulting an officer/firefighter. He was also charged with one count of disorderly conduct and one count of resisting an officer.

Details of the arrest are below, via the Miami Herald's Adam Beasley

Bess missed the final two games of the season when he was placed on the non-football illness list, because, according to a report in Cleveland, he had been dealing with a family matter for most of the season.

Bess was released from jail on bond, and apparently wasn't in a mood to discuss the matter.

On the season, he finished with 42 catches, 362 yards and two touchdowns, which were some of the worst numbers in his six-year career. He also had 14 drops.

News of the arrest was first reported by CBS Miami.
