Design concept for new Falcons stadium gets approval
The Falcons' new stadium will have a retractable roof and, reportedly, a 100-yard-long sports bar.
First, the Falcons' new retractable-roof stadium got $1 billion in public funds. Then there were the rumors of vibrating seats and a 100-yard-long sports bar, followed by NFL owners voting to give the team a $200 million loan for the stadium fund. And now, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, the Georgia World Congress Center Authority’s Stadium Development Committee has approved the design for the new stadium.
On Tuesday, the Georgia Dome's Twitter feed made it official.

Our thoughts? It looks like the word's biggest origami artichoke. But we're guessing the 100-yard-long sports bar more than makes up for it.
