Examining the aftermath of Jerry Brown's fatal crash a year later
Nearly a year ago, the NFL lost player Jerry Brown to a fatal car crash. 'The NFL Today' checks in with Brown's mother on Thanksgiving, who will share how she has dealt with the grief and forgiveness around her son's death.
The car he was a passenger in was driven by teammate Josh Brent, who survived. The Cowboys nose tackle was charged with intoxication manslaughter. Brent faces a January trial for the charge.
Brown's mother, Stacey Jackson, will narrate the emotional story of forgiveness and share her fight to carry on, in part, through the life of a baby granddaughter born a month after her son's passing.
The full segment will air at 4 p.m. ET on CBS on Thanksgiving.
