Falcons, DE Osi Umenyiora agree to terms on 2-year deal
The Falcons and defensive end Osi Umenyiora have agreed to terms on a two-year deal, CBSSports.com's Mike Freeman and Jason La Canfora confirm.
FoxSports.com's Jay Glazer first reported the news Wednesday night.

Umenyiora will replace John Abraham, whom the Falcons chose not to re-sign after his contract expired after the 2012 season.
Unlike the unexpectedness of Wes Welker bolting New England for Denver, it was no surprise that Umenyiora joined the Falcons. Last week, the man who won two Super Bowls during his 10-year career with the Giants said he'd like to do the same for the Falcons.
"The only thing I can think of that would be better than being able to win in New York would be to be able to win here in Atlanta," Umenyiora said. "We'll see how that plays out. Hopefully, it works out in a positive direction."
Things seemed to have worked out for Umenyiora, who sounded impressed with the talent the Falcons have assembled.
"From afar, I've never seen a team that has this much talent, especially offensively with the weapons that they have out wide and a great quarterback ... and they added Steven Jackson, one of the best running backs in football. The sky is the limit," Umenyiora said last week. "Defensively, they are very good ... they have all the makings of a very good football team. They just need a couple of key pieces here and there and they'll be OK."
We're guessing Umenyiora is including himself and his 75 career sacks as one of those key pieces.
