Giants co-owner: Tim Tebow will be a 'huge asset' for Patriots
The New England Patriots announced the signing of quarterback Tim Tebow on Tuesday, and virtually everyone around the league -- and beyond -- is weighing in.
Opinions have varied -- as is usual regarding Tebow -- but New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch said Monday that he sees the signing as a positive for the Pats, especially since the quarterback/punt protection specialist will be under the employ of offensive mastermind Bill Belichick.
“I think it’s great that Tim Tebow’s going to be an NFL player,” Tisch told the New York Post. “I think it’s really fantastic he’s going to be playing for a great owner and playing for a great coach. I think Bill will find a way to turn Tim into a huge asset. This is the well-deserved Act III in Tim Tebow’s NFL career.”
Tebow was 6 for 8 passing last season for 39 yards with the Jets.
