Giants RB Andre Brown fractures his leg, season in jeopardy
The Giants got some bad news Thursday when running back Andre Brown fractured his leg.
In the fourth preseason game of 2013, with less than 60 minutes of exhibition football to play, Giants running back Andre Brown has fractured his leg.
While Brown isn’t the starter -- that title belongs to David Wilson -- he was an important cog in the New York offense as the bruising third-down and goal-line running back.
But he hurt himself against the Patriots on Thursday, and now, his season is in jeopardy.
In 10 games last season, Brown averaged 5.3 yards per carry to go with eight touchdowns, and without him, that opens up an extra running back spot for either Ryan Torain, Da’Rel Scott or Michael Cox.
