Giants rookie WR Odell Beckham might not be ready for 3 more weeks
The news surrounding Odell Beckham's hamstring continues to not be good.
Odell Beckham, the No. 12 overall draft pick, didn't play a single preseason game snap and barely practiced at all as he dealt with a bum hamstring.
Already, the Giants receiver was expected to miss the season opener vs. the Lions, but on Monday, coach Tom Coughlin painted an even grimmer picture. In actuality, Beckham might not be ready for three more weeks.
Which obviously is not good considering Beckham was primed to be an explosive target for Eli Manning and a returner on special teams.
Of course, not much of the news surrounding Beckham and his hamstring has been positive. And obviously, Coughlin is tired of talking about this story.
Coughlin also gives plea to media to get off the injured Beckham's back: "Let's let the kid get better. Focus on players who will play."— Ralph Vacchiano (@RVacchianoNYDN) September 1, 2014
Either way, it's clear who the real villain is.
