Both the Indianapolis Colts and the Green Bay Packers came into the 2016 season with aspirations at competing for a Super Bowl, but despite being led by two of the top quarterbacks in the league, things haven't quite come together at the halfway point of the season.

The Packers have taken care of business against the dregs of the league but have fallen short against contenders such as the Vikings and Cowboys. Aaron Rodgers has at times looked like his best self, firing touchdown after touchdown in the first half against the Lions and taking it to the Bears in the second half of Thursday Night Football. But Rodgers has been far from consistent, and with question marks at running back over the last few weeks, the Packers' chances in any games are tied to his performance.

The Colts at times look like they have one starting position locked down and 21 others up for grabs on both sides of the ball, as Andrew Luck has had to do much of the heavy lifting during his career in Indianapolis. But the running game has flashed behind Frank Gore, and having more success on the ground would help to get the target off Luck's jersey on second- or third-and-long. The Indy defense has been abysmal, giving up score after score to less dynamic offenses like the Chiefs and Titans over the last few weeks. If we see more of the same from the Colts defense this week against Rodgers, it's over.

But with Luck under center, anything is possible. The last time these two teams met in Indy in 2012, Rodgers gave his team the lead with less than five minutes left in the fourth quarter on a touchdown to James Jones. Luck responded by hitting Reggie Wayne with 35 seconds left on his 55th pass of the day and pulling out a win. If Luck can deliver some more heroics this Sunday, it would be the Colts' first win in Green Bay since 1988, when Chris Chandler quarterbacked Indy to a 20-13 win by completing just nine of his 17 passes for 98 yards.

Prisco's Pick

This should be fun to see Aaron Rodgers vs. Andrew Luck. Both have defenses have issues right now, which will make it a shootout. Rodgers seems to be back to being himself again, and that will show up. Packers big.

Pick: Packers 34, Colts 21
