Indianapolis Colts sign TE Chase Coffman

The Indianapolis Colts added some depth at tight end on Tuesday morning with the signing of veteran tight end Chase Coffman.

Coffman was with the Colts in the preseason and made the original 53-man roster before being released the next day. Coffman had eight catches for 85 yards in the preseason.

Coffman will bring depth in the absence of tight end Dwayne Allen, who was reported on Monday night to be week-to-week with an ankle sprain. Coffman, who has also played with Seattle, Cincinnati, Atlanta, Tennessee, and Tampa Bay, is in his seventh NFL season and has 18 career catches for 177 yards and two touchdowns.
