The Indianapolis Colts made a roster move early Monday afternoon, waiving undrafted rookie cornerback Frankie Williams.
Williams (Purdue) was called up to the roster last week to add some depth at cornerback as the team was dealing with injuries to Patrick Robinson and Darius Butler. Williams played on six special teams snaps in Sunday's loss at Houston.
The move could be an indication of the injury situation at cornerback looking better, or it could be to clear a roster spot for needed additions at a position that saw injuries against Houston, such as wide receiver or tight end.
