Jaguars rookie defensive back Jalen Ramsey's Sunday was cut short when he got mixed up with Raiders receiver Johnny Holton moments after a Raiders' botched punt turned into a strange first down. That play, which occurred late in the fourth quarter, all but sealed the Jaguars' fourth loss of the season.

It also ended Ramsey's day, as he was ejected for fighting. So was Holton.

Here's a look at their altercation:

That's not necessarily the problematic part. Fights happen and that wasn't even a bad one. But what might be seen as problematic are the comments that Jaguars players made after the game.

First up is Jaguars linebacker Paul Posluszny, who talked about both ejections (Malik Jackson was tossed earlier in the game).

"I think it's terrible," Posluszny said, per Jacksonville.com. "We need to act like professionals at all times, regardless of what happens. To have guys get thrown out, multiple penalties over and over again, that's not who we are and we can't tolerate that moving forward.

"I've never seen anything like that before. That's unacceptable on a lot of different levels. Fans don't want to see that, you guys don't want to see that and we don't want to be a part of it. Just from a higher standard of playing in the NFL, we can't have that."

And here's Ramsey talking about his ejection:

"They probably don't want me to say this, but I'm just going to keep it real with [you]," Ramsey said, per Jacksonville.com. "If I was out there nine more times, I would do the same exact thing. I don't think I should have been thrown out of the game for it, neither do I think [Holton] should have been thrown out the game for it, to be real with you.

"I'm not going to be disrespected. I'm pretty sure [you] know that about me by now."

Yep, those are two completely contrasting takes. It's worth noting, however, that Ramsey isn't entirely responsible for the Jaguars' woes. During their loss to the Raiders, they were flagged 13 times for 112 yards.

The bottom line is that the Jaguars are not the team many thought they'd be. They haven't taken the leap from "young and promising" to a playoff contender. And more factors than just undisciplined play have led to their 2-4 record.
