Jeff Fisher is not concerned about re-signing Danny Amendola

The St. Louis Rams are in the midst of an eventful week. After the Titus Young experiment blew up in their face -- culminating with his release -- one would think the team would be more eager than ever to get a deal done with wide receiver Danny Amendola.
Not so, according to coach Jeff Fisher. With the Rams and Amendola reportedly not close to striking a deal, Fisher said he wasn't worried.
“Not a concern whatsoever,” Fisher told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. “There’s options out there. The free-agent market, there’s options out there, and it’s a great draft for a receiver this year.”
Even with talent available, the Rams find themselves in a rather precarious predicament at receiver. The paper is reporting that Brandon Gibson -- last year's team leader in touchdown catches -- won't be re-signed due to salary cap concerns, which would leave just Chris Givens, Austin Pettis, and Brian Quick under contract for next season.
To be sure, Fisher is aware -- if unconcerned -- of the situation, and he was clear to point out that the team wants Amendola in a Rams uniform in 2013.
“Oh yes, we’ve got a number of unrestricted free agents on our roster that we want back, and Danny would be one of them," Fisher told the paper. "‘Jack’ [Steven Jackson] would be another. We’ve got plenty of time. The process is ongoing. We’re communicating with their agents and so on and so forth.”
