Paying Darrelle Revis a $1 milllion roster bonus wasn't the only thing the New York Jets did on Saturday, the team also re-signed kicker Nick Folk. The deal is for one year, according to ESPN New York.
The veteran kicker has been with the Jets since coming from Dallas before the 2010 season. Folk had been with the Cowboys since they took him in the sixth round of the 2007 Draft.
Last season was Folk's most successful with the Jets as the six-year veteran converted on 77.8 percent of his field-goal attempts (21 of 27), his highest number in three seasons with the team.
Although Folk isn't Mr. Accurate -- his 77.9 percent career success rate on field goals ranks 28th among active kickers -- he has been money in the fourth quarter. Folk's 93.3 percent conversion rate on fourth-quarter kicks is the second highest of any kicker in the NFL since 1991, trailing only New England's Stephen Gostkowski.
Folk also holds the Jets' record for longest field goal, which he set in 2010 with a 56-yarder in a 24-20 win over the Broncos.
