Jim Irsay wants his Colts to WAKE UP!
Disappointed with his team's performance lately, Colts owner Jim Irsay took to Twitter on Tuesday to vent his feelings.
Colts owner Jim Irsay usually is a happy soul when he's on Twitter either busting out song lyrics, breaking news of signings, warning fans that his team is about to make news regarding player signings, or giving away free stuff to Colts fans.
Sometimes, though, he's an angry storm. Like on Tuesday when he appeared to be delivering a pep talk to the 258,000 people who follow him.
The Colts have been struggling on the field lately, getting outscored 93-12 in the team's last four first halves. On Sunday vs. the Cardinals, Indianapolis had one of its worst performances since coach Chuck Pagano took over the team, taking a 40-11 loss to Bruce Arians' squad.
And Irsay is ready for the slide to end.
To wit (read from the bottom to the top):
At this point, the Colts are two games ahead of the Titans for first place in the AFC South with five games to play. It remains to be seen whether Tennessee, which still has to face the Cardinals and Broncos, is good enough to close that gap in the final five games of the season.
But the Colts certainly have played poorly enough in the last month to help along the Titans in making a huge division comeback.
You know what would help Indianapolis soothe its owner this week? A win against the Colts opponent this Sunday. Which happens to be Tennessee.
