The Falcons might not have much to play for when they host New Orleans this week, but Julio Jones does. With a huge game against the Saints on Sunday, Jones could break two of the NFL's most hallowed receiving records.

Jones is currently the NFL's leading receiver for 2015 with 1,722 yards and if he can add 243 yards to that total, Jones would break Calvin Johnson's single-season record of 1,964 yards, which was set in 2012.

It's not completely far-fetched to think Jones can pull it off, either. His single-game career-high in receiving yards is 258, and if he hits that, he'd finished the season with 1,980 yards, which would break Johnson's record by 16 yards.

Even if Jones doesn't break Johnson's record, he can still move up in the record book.

With only 127 yards against the Saints, Jones would end 2015 with the second-biggest season of all-time in terms of receiving yards. Jerry Rice's 1995 total of 1,848 yards is currently the second highest single-season total in NFL history.

Jones could also break the record for most receptions in a season, which is currently held by Marvin Harrison, who caught 143 passes in 2002. To break that record, Jones would need 17 catches against the Saints, which would give him 144 for the season. Antonio Brown also has a shot at Harrison's record and would only need 15 catches on Sunday to break it.

If both Brown and Jones finish with zero catches on Sunday, they'd still end the season as No. 2 and No. 3 in the NFL record book for most receptions in a single season.

Anyway, if Jones finishes with 17 catches for 243 yards against the Saints, both records would be his. The good news for Jones is that he's going up against a defense known for giving up huge numbers: The Saints have the 31st-ranked pass defense in the NFL.

Jones caught 10 passes for 93 yards when the two teams met back in Week 6, a game that New Orleans won 31-21.
