Quarterback Cody Kessler nominated for NFL Rookie of the Week.
Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Cody Kessler was nominated for NFL Rookie of the Week following his performance on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. Kessler completed 26-of-41 passes for 336 yards and two touchdowns in his fourth start of the season. Fans can vote HERE.
San Diego Chargers lineback Jatavis Brown, Dallas Cowboys quarterack Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott and Philadelphia Eagles running back Wendell Smallwood are up for the honor as well. It is the fourth time this season that a Browns player has been nominated for the honor. Defensive end Carl Nassib, wide receiver Corey Coleman and cornerback Briean Boddy-Calhoun were nominated in three consecutive weeks. Coleman was the only one to win.

On the year, Kessler has completed 80-of-122 passes for 865 yards, four touchdowns and one interception. He received a vote of confidence from Pro Football Focus for his performance. The USC product is expected to make his fifth consecutive start this week against the Cincinnati Bengals.
