Lavonte David's nullifed pick-6 was awfully impressive
This Lavonte David interception returned for a touchdown didn't count, but that doesn't take away from its impressiveness.
Buccaneers linebacker Lavonte David has had a fantastic season, and he's tied for second in the league with five interceptions entering Week 15. In fact, he and DeAndre Levy (six interceptions) have a chance at becoming the first linebacker(s) to lead the NFL in picks since the merger (and, we think, in NFL history).
As such, watch this awesome pick 6 in which he tipped the Colin Kaepernick pass up to himself before getting up and celebrating with his teammate. Then, when David realizes he wasn't touched by an opponent, he ran to the end zone in one of the most surreal pick-6s you'll ever see.
Unfortunately for the Buccaneers, defensive tackle Gerald McCoy was offside on the play, so it didn't count and the 49ers kept the ball. Even worse, David hurt himself while running back the phantom interception, though the injury wasn't supposed to keep him from returning to the contest.
