Despite being a son of Akron, Ohio, LeBron James grew up a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Because he's such a Cleveland icon, though, James also has become a bit of a casual Browns fan over the years.

James didn't get a chance to watch the NFL Draft on Thursday night (he was scouting the Toronto Raptors and Milwaukee Bucks as he prepares for the second round of the NBA playoffs), but he saw the results and was apparently happy with the Browns' haul -- with one caveat.

"I did see the Browns took Myles Garrett and they took Jabrill [Peppers] from that other school," James said Friday, per Cleveland.com. "Then they took a receiver as well, right? Tight end from Miami. He's pretty good I heard."

James is right, of course. The Browns took Garrett with the No. 1 pick. They traded up at the end of the first round to select tight end David Njoku from Miami (Fla.). And they traded down from No. 12 to No. 25 (picking up an extra 2018 first-round pick from the Texans in the process), where they took Peppers from what James calls "that other school."

In addition to being a Cowboys (and Browns) supporter, LeBron also is an avid Ohio State fan, so it should come as no surprise that he's not exactly the biggest Michigan guy. Still, he said he wants nothing but success for Peppers, and all the other Browns draft picks.

"Listen, I want them to be successful, I want the Browns to be great," he said. "It makes us all better as a city, as a community with the Indians, Browns and Cavs. All the other teams around here are pretty good so it starts with talent and then starts with putting them in the right position to be successful. Wish nothing but the best to those three guys."
