The saddest jersey in the NFL just got a little bit sadder.

After Browns coach Mike Pettine announced on Wednesday that Austin Davis would be the team's starter against Cincinnati on Sunday, Davis' name was immediately added to the most depressing jersey in sports: The Browns quarterback jersey.

The jersey lists every Browns starting quarterback since the team returned to Cleveland in 1999.

The jersey hangs in a window in downtown Cleveland and serves as a constant reminder that no team in the NFL produces horrible quarterbacks quite like the Browns do.

The Browns pretty much wrote the book on how not to develop a quarterback, and clearly, Pettine's read the book because he's on his third starting quarterback this year.

Just to review, here's the name of every quarterback listed on the jersey: Tim Couch, Ty Detmer, Doug Pederson, Spergon Wynn, Kelly Holcomb, Jeff Garcia, Luke McCown, Trent Dilfer, Charlie Frye, Derek Anderson, Brady Quinn, Ken Dorsey, Bruce Gradkowski, Jake Delhomme, Colt McCoy, Seneca Wallace, Thad Lewis, Brandon Weeden, Brian Hoyer, Josh McCown, Johnny Manziel, Connor Shaw and now Davis.
