LOOK: The Panthers defense is an outright disaster early against the Saints
Drew Brees already has two touchdowns and the Saints are off to a 21-0 lead
Just over a minute into the second quarter against the New Orleans Saints, the 1-4 Carolina Panthers are already down 21-0.
The Saints have practically walked down the field for a score on three of their four possessions. As of this writing, they have run 22 plays and gained 189 yards on offense. One of those plays was an 87-yard touchdown pass to Brandin Cooks, but that's still 21 plays for 102 yards otherwise -- just about five yards a play.
That Cooks TD, by the way, couldn't possibly have been easier:

EIGHTY-SEVEN YARDS. TD!!! 😱 #CARvsNOhttps://t.co/fZQbIsxmw9
I mean, there's nobody near him. He just runs full speed and splits the defensive backs for one of the easiest touchdowns he'll have all season.
On the Saints' previous touchdown, tight end Coby Fleener ran the ball into the end zone.
Just hand the ball to @Coby.

He's IN!
Touchdown, @Saints! #CARvsNOhttps://t.co/lzMX0GpeEh
A tight end around is definitely not something you see every day.
Later in the first half, Brees found rookie wideout Michael Thomas for a score from nine yards out after Tommy Lee Lewis nearly took a punt to the house, but was eventually tackled after a 59-yard return. The Panthers are not looking great, folks.
