Manti Te'o visiting with the Giants
Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o will spend Thursday and Friday meeting with the New York Giants, according to the New York Daily News. Te'o reportedly spent the past two days meeting with the Dolphins.
The linebacker didn't participate in any workouts with the team, according to the report.
Te'o has spent the last few months repairing his image after a hoax involving his "girlfriend" was revealed. In addition, he's been trying to prove his mettle on the gridiron to various NFL clubs.
Aside from the Dolphins and Giants, Te'o has reportedly met with the Chargers, Bears, and Lions.
The Giants would be a decent match for Te'o. The team parted ways with Chase Blackburn , who started at middle linebacker the past two seasons, and veteran Michael Boley. The Giants signed free-agent Dan Connor, but there is definitely room for another inside linebacker on the depth chart.
New York's front office now must decide if Te'o is worth the 19th pick of the first round, since many draft pundits believe Te'o won't be around long after that.
