New Zealand rugby team motivated Dan Quinn for 2016-17 season
Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn read a book about the All Blacks that he said "captured" him.
Motivation and inspiration can sometimes be found in the strangest of places.
For Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn, it came to him in the form of a book about the New Zealand rugby team known as the All Blacks.
Watch Quinn talk about the book, which he said "captured" him, at his Thursday press conference in the video player below:
The All Blacks are a historically dominant rugby team. They have appeared in every Rugby World Cup since it was created in 1987 and have won it three times, including each of the past two. They have never been ranked lower than third since the World Rugby Rankings were established in 2003.
The Falcons, not quite the All Blacks with zero Super Bowl wins in franchise history, can change that this weekend. Quinn will have to pull out every motivational tactic in the book to beat the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LI on Sunday.
