NFL Week 11 picks: It's a doggy, dog week again
I went 2-1 with the dogs last week, so it's three dogs again this week. I like the Steelers, Dolphins and 49ers
I went 2-1 again with my top picks last week, the second consecutive week for that record.
It's not quite the elusive 3-0, but I will take it. I had three dogs last week to get to that mark, so let's try it again.
Let the dogs bark.
Steelers (+1½) vs. Lions: The Lions are coming off an emotional division victory over the Bears. That was on the road, and this is a second consecutive road game. That's always tough. And the Steelers might be playing for their season here. The Lions struggle against the pass, so look for Ben Roethlisberger to have a big day. Steelers win it outright.
Dolphins (+1) vs. Chargers: The Dolphins have so many issues right now, but getting back home to play a San Diego team coming from the West Coast will help. This is San Diego's third trip to the East Coast. That's tough. They won the previous two. They won't win this one. Miami puts all the off-the-field stuff away for 60 minutes.
49ers (+3) at Saints: San Francisco is coming off a tough loss last week at home to the Panthers. Now the 49ers have to go play in one of the league's toughest spots against one of the best offenses in the league. But I think the 49ers' run game against that Saints' run defense is a mismatch. That will help open up the passing game for the 49ers. San Francisco in an upset.
