NFL Week 4 picks: Jake 'The Snake' Roberts likes Pats, Saints
Wrestling legend Jake "The Snake" Roberts is still tied with Dave Richard in their NFL picks wager. Check out "The Snake's" picks vs. the spread for Week 4.
Sometimes the best matches end in a draw.
Right now, that's where Jake "The Snake" Roberts stands in his friendly NFL picks wager with senior fantasy writer Dave Richard. For the second straight week, they're all tied up.
Jake and Dave both went 9-7 vs. the spread in Week 3. Jake opened up a lead during the early games. While he was still comfortably ahead, Jake even took the chance to talk a little smack.
Getting a bit queasy boys at cbs ( notice no capital letters) victory will b mine. Remember u started it. I will finish it.— JakeSnakeDDT (@JakeSnakeDDT) September 22, 2013
Lets see how u guys do n 4:00 games. Don't pout or go away mad just go away. Hahaha— JakeSnakeDDT (@JakeSnakeDDT) September 22, 2013
As it turned out, Dave closed the gap late, and they ended up tied. Again.
What we know is this: Jake "The Snake" Roberts did much better in Week 3 than in Week 2. And after three weeks, there has only been one week so far in which Roberts' picks did not impress.
"The Snake" is not slithering away quietly. He absolutely could win this thing.
But for the moment, Jake is stuck with a draw, just like he had with "Ravishing" Rick Rude in the WrestleMania IV world title tournament. Will he leave empty handed this time, too?

We'll find out who prevails after Week 17. In the meantime, here are Jake's Week 4 picks against the spread:

And while we await NFL Week 4, let's look at what happened AFTER that draw between Roberts and Rude in 1988. Let's just say things got very personal, very quickly.
