Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt proposed to a 6-year-old girl last month -- but that's where he draws the line. The Texans' star announced on Facebook on Wednesday that he would not be accepting any requests to go to the prom.
“OK, I feel like I need to address this,” Watt wrote. “I see all of the prom invitations and I am flattered, but unfortunately I cannot take you all.”
Watt seems like a stand-up guy in the Houston community, routinely going out of his way to mingle with fans. Aside from the proposal, Watt also met a couple that had a wedding cake with his likeness.
He left this message on Facebook for his admirers.
“Love you guys and appreciate your unbelievable support,” he wrote. “Meet me at Reliant on game days this fall and we’ll dance there.”
