Packers activate Randall Cobb from IR, listed as 'questionable'
The Packers activated wide receiver Randall Cobb off the Injured Reserve and listed him as "questionable" for Week 17's game against the Bears.
Cobb is officially listed as "questionable" for Week 17's win-or-go-home matchup against the Bears and it sure makes sense that he would be activated today for the purpose of playing on Sunday.
Prior reports indicated that Cobb had a very good chance of coming back against Chicago; it appears he's basically slated to play on Sunday. Obviously things could change over the next 18 hours or so, but suffice to say this looks good for Green Bay.
Cobb certainly seems to think he'll take the field.
All Hands On Deck!!— Randall Cobb (@rcobb18) December 28, 2013
Getting Rodgers back -- the quarterback was officially named the starter Thursday -- was massive. It's a gamechanger. Cobb's not quite as important but he's a huge name too. He can stretch the field in all different directions and opens up the playbook for Rodgers and Mike McCarthy.
If Rodgers and Cobb get back and look right there's a very strong chance the Packers could end up backdooring the playoffs, just as their high-powered offense is getting healthy. That's a scary thought.
