Pat White makes Redskins 53-man roster

Pat White is back in the NFL, and not just as some training camp arm while Robert Griffin III recovers from knee surgery. White has made the Redskins' 53-man roster -- along with RG3, Kirk Cousins and Rex Grossman.
Why the Redskins are keeping four quarterbacks isn't clear, especially since RG3 announced that he'll be the Week 1 starter.
White was originally the Dolphins' 2009 second-round pick in 2009, back when the Wildcat was in vogue. But he never developed as much of a quarterback or runner, and a serious concussion suffered in a Week 17 game against the Steelers proved to be his last in the NFL -- until now.
The Dolphins released White prior to the 2010 season. He then signed with the UFL's Virginia Destroyers -- only to be let go several months later. Out of football for two years, White got a second chance with the Redskins this offseason and has done the most with that opportunity.
