The Rams are bracing for the worst following a knee injury suffered by quarterback Sam Bradford, sources with knowledge of the situation tell CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora.

The team fears it's a significant injury and awaits the results of an MRI that will be conducted.

Rumors began circulating the team could be looking to bring in a new quarterback, and one of the names out there is Tim Tebow.

So there's that. For more on that, you can read what Jason La Canfora has to say on that matter

Now for some quick background on the injury to Bradford.

As Bradford scrambled away from pressure midway through the fourth quarter, he was pushed out of bounds by Panthers safety Mike Mitchell. But Mitchell also didn't appear to do anything illegal or something that would draw a penalty.

Still, Rams right guard Harvey Dahl was enraged, pushing Mitchell as he celebrated his play. Then, after Dahl saw that Bradford was hurt on the turf, he ran back onto the field to verbally assault Mitchell again.

Meanwhile, Bradford had to be carried to the bench, and eventually, he was carted off to the locker room.

He was 21-30 for 255 yards and a touchdown before leaving and was replaced by Kellen Clemens. The Rams fell 30-15 to the Panthers, dropping to 3-4 on the season.
