Randy Moss confirms that he's headed to Fox for TV work
Former NFL receiver Randy Moss' first job following his NFL career will be working with Fox TV.
Though Randy Moss rarely seemed to care about engaging with reporters assigned to cover him, his first post-NFL job will, quite naturally, be in the welcoming spotlight of the media.
Or as the former tweeted Friday afternoon:
Thanks for the luv peeps!!FOX BOOM— Randy Moss (@RandyMoss) August 9, 2013
This follows the Pro Football Talk report that said Moss was completing a deal with Fox to be included in its NFL TV coverage.
At this point, it’s unclear exactly what Moss’ role will be and if he’ll be limited to the Fox Sunday morning show or if he’ll be incorporated into the new Fox 1 channel as well (or vice versa).
Though he didn’t show it much in his career, Moss can be entertaining and funny, and I expect he’ll do well on TV, especially if he’s in the role of analyst or contrarian.
And it’s a good move by Fox. After all, it’s not every day you get to sign up the “greatest receiver ever to do it.”
