Ravens DE Arthur Jones, suffering from illness, is feeling better
Though there was mystery shrouded in the illness suffered by Baltimore's Arthur Jones, he tweeted Friday that he was much better.
A couple days ago, we told you about the mysterious illness that Ravens defensive end Arthur Jones was fighting and that he was asking for privacy as he dealt with what coach John Harbaugh said was a non-football, non-life-threatening matter.
But good news for Jones. Here’s what he shared on Twitter late Friday night.
Thank you everyone who kept me in there prayers. The big man upstairs answered.Someone must of called him Verizon .Can you hear me now!haha— Arthur Jones (@Artj97) September 7, 2013
As the Baltimore Sun explains, Jones was dealing with a viral infection near his heart that “initially raised concerns.” But now that it seems to be under control, Jones’ return to the field could happen soon.
Baltimore certainly could use him on the defensive line after the Ravens allowed Peyton Manning to tie a league-record with seven touchdown passes in Denver’s 49-27 win Thursday night. Marcus Spears, Jones’ replacement, recorded one tackle on the evening.
