Ravens center Jeremy Zuttah had a wedding date in mind, and he and fiancee Heran Haile were headed to City Hall to make it official. One problem: City Hall doesn't allow dogs, and as it turns out, their pit bull Ace was to be one of Zuttah's groomsman.
"He wasn't the best man because he can't speak," Heran joked, according to the team's official website. "You have to do a speech at the reception."
But Haile agreed: No dog, no wedding, and the couple relocated from a government building to an Under Armour Performance Center gym in downtown Baltimore that was converted into a wedding venue. And Ace got to walk down the aisle on the big day with Zuttah's brother.
"He's awesome," Heran said of Ace. "I just could not imagine getting married without him. He's with us every day everywhere we go. I thought everyone was crazy about their dog like I am."
In addition to Ace's presence, several of Zuttah's teammates were there too, including Joe Flacco, Steve Smith, Marshal Yanda, Justin Forsett, Justin Tucker and Lardarius Webb.
