Ray McDonald released from jail, says 'truth will come out'
49ers defensive lineman Ray McDonald was released from jail on Saturday afternoon and said the "truth will come out" about his "crazy situation."
Sunday's big news centered around 49ers defensive end Ray McDonald, who was arrested and charged with felony domestic violence at 5:30 a.m. on Sunday.
The San Francisco lineman was finally released on Sunday afternoon and, according Azenith Smith of KTLU.com, is claiming the story being portrayed isn't accurate.
Specifically: McDonald was imprisoned for "inflicting injury on a spouse or cohabitant," and according to reports, the woman in question, his wife, was pregnant. It's not a good look and, pretty clearly, a "crazy situation."
And apparently McDonald was having a birthday party that ended up going late, only adding to the crazy nature of the incident.
The NFL's method -- both in terms of speed and level of discipline -- will be interesting to watch.
