Report: 49ers remind fans when to cheer ahead of Seahawks game

There are countless storylines heading into Sunday's Seahawks-49ers matchup -- Pete Carroll and Jim Harbaugh have a history, Seattle comes to town after blowing out San Francisco earlier this season, and there are those playoff implications for the 49ers.

Seattle, fresh off humiliating New Orleans on Monday Night Football, is now 11-1 and has secured a spot in the postseason. In an effort to stymie the red-hot Seahawks, the 49ers' emailed season ticket holders to remind them, among other things, when to cheer, according to Deadspin.

You can read the letter below:

It's all pretty straightforward -- fans should wear red, arrive early, and, perhaps most importantly, keep quiet when the 49ers have the ball and makes noise when they don't. (No mention of how to induce a man-made earthquake, however.)

In case you're wondering, San Francisco is favored by 3.5 points, but seven of eight CBSSports.com experts have Seattle winning (Pete Prisco likes the 49ers).
