Report: Broncos OL Quentin Saulsberry arrested for DUI in May
Denver Broncos second-year offensive lineman Quentin Saulsberry was reportedly arrested for DUI in May.
More bad news has surfaced on the DUI front for the Denver Broncos.
On the same day that the Broncos announced suspensions for team executives Matt Russell and Tom Heckert following their recent DUI charges, the Denver Post has reported that second-year Denver offensive lineman Quentin Saulsberry was arrested for DUI in May.
"We have been aware of Quentin Saulsberry's arrest and will continue to monitor the legal developments related to this matter, which is subject to review under the NFL's policies," the Broncos said in a statement to the Post on Monday.
Saulsberry was arrested on May 19 in Colorado on suspicion of drunken driving and later charged with DUI and a lane-usage violation. The center is scheduled to be in court in Araphoe County on Aug. 19.
Saulsberry's arrest preceded the DUI arrests of Heckert (June 11) and Russell (July 6). However, none of three DUI's became public knowledge until July 8, when news of Russell's DUI broke. Russell has been suspended indefinitely without pay for his arrest. Heckert has been suspended for one month without pay for his incident.
Saulsberry, a former Mississippi State lineman, spent the 2012 season on Denver's practice squad except for four weeks, when he was suspended for violating the league's performance enhancement policy.
