Report: Dolphins OT Jonathan Martin 'gone AWOL' from team
Dolphins second-year offensive tackle Jonathan Martin left the team facility Monday after an incident in the cafeteria, according to a report.
Second-year offensive tackle Jonathan Martin left the Dolphins' facility Monday after an incident in the cafeteria, according to FOX Sports' Jay Glazer, who adds that Martin has “gone AWOL from the team the last couple days.”
Martin was the victim of a prank in the cafeteria who, Glazer says, "flipped out, smashed a food tray on the ground, took off, and they haven’t seen him since.”
Glazer also reports that Martin, who hasn't practiced all week, is seeking treatment at a facility, although Glazer didn't offer details. The second-round pick out of Stanford is listed as doubtful with an undefined "illness" for Thursday night's game against the Bengals. Tyson Clabo is expected to replace him in the lineup.
The Dolphins traded for tackle Bryant McKinnie several weeks ago to compete with Clabo.
