Report: Eddie Lacy won't run at combine with hamstring injury
Eddie Lacy reportedly won't run at the combine because of a hamstring injury.
Dude is a beast. But, unfortunately, we reportedly won't get to see him work out at the NFL combine because, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Lacy suffered a hamstring injury last week while working out.
Schefter reports Lacy suffered a "small tear in some tissue around his hamstring" and will sit out the combine workouts as a result.
However, Lacy hopes to work out during Alabama's pro day March 13.
And he'll still face questions as to the extent of his injury from reporters while he's at the combine.
Neither Rob Rang nor Dane Brugler of NFLDraftScout.com has Lacy going in their first round (Derek Harper has more on the subject here).
Not having a running back selected in the first round would be odd to say the least. There has been at least one running back drafted in the first round every year since 1964.
If Lacy's injury becomes a bigger issue -- and there are no indications of that, but it's worth watching -- that's a streak that could very much be in jeopardy.
