Report: Jets have 'definite interest' in Michael Vick
The Jets have 'definite interest' in Michael Vick according to a report.
The quarterback market hasn't fully formed this year in free agency, mainly because there aren't many good quarterbacks out there. Michael Vick is still a big name, though, and might have plenty left in the tank.
So it's certainly spicy to hear from Rich Cimini of ESPN that the Jets has "definite interest" in acquiring Vick.
Cimini reports the Jets would like to move "quickly" on Vick, but they understand he'll have plenty of suitors.
Vick is a natural fit with the Jets, mainly because of his connection with Marty Mornhinweg from his days in Philadelphia.
Geno Smith is the likely future in New York -- and Mark Sanchez is likely on his way out -- but Vick would give them a quarterback with some upside. The question is whether Vick wants to deal with possibly sitting behind Smith there.
It actually makes a lot of sense given how little interest there would really be
