Report: LB Nick Roach agrees to terms with Raiders
While much of the free-agent talk in Chicago involves Brian Urlacher, the Bears now face the realization of losing a different linebacker as the Raiders have agreed to terms with Nick Roach, according to ESPN Chicago.
When Brian Urlacher’s hamstring injury kept him out of the final four games of the 2012 season, Nick Roach hopped into his middle linebacker spot with a chance to audition for the rest of the league. As free agency approached, as many as 10 teams reportedly called Roach’s agent expressing interest.
Roach finished the 2012 season with 66 tackles, 1.5 sacks and four passes defended. Reportedly, the versatile Roach, who could play a number of positions in the linebacker corps, will be Oakland’s starting middle linebacker.
