It's a big day for quarterbacks in Jacksonville on Wednesday, as a quartet of higher-ranked signal callers will reportedly make their visit with the Jaguars.

According to ESPN and the NFL Network, the Jags will host Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel, Louisville's Teddy Bridgewater, Fresno State's Derek Carr and Illinois' Jimmy Garoppolo on Wednesday.

The Jags will also host a few other high-profile draft prospects, including Buffalo linebacker Khalil Mack, Auburn tackle Greg Robinson and UCLA linebacker Anthony Barr.

Mack, Manziel and Bridgewater are the three players most often linked with the Jaguars at No. 3 out of that group.

It's conceivable Jacksonville would be interested in Robinson there (Pat Kirwan's latest mock has him going three to the Jags) although they just drafted Luke Joeckel in last year's draft.

There's a clear need for quarterback in Jacksonville. Blaine Gabbert was shipped off to San Francisco this offseason and while Chad Henne was re-signed, it's obvious he's not the long-term future.

Carr's an interesting name because his stock's been on the rise recently with many projections putting him to the Raiders at No. 5 or the Browns at No. 4. You'd think if Jacksonville is really sold on him they'll probably have to pull trigger at No. 3 or trade back into the first to get him.

Three out of five of's latest 2014 NFL Mock Drafts have the Jaguars taking a pass rusher. Only Kirwan (with Robinson) and Pete Prisco (with Jacksonville taking Blake Bortles) differ.

In other words, just about all of these guys are in play for the Jaguars at No. 3. That speaks to a roster that isn't stocked, but it's good news for GM Dave Caldwell that's he got options.
