Report: Patriots wideout Danny Amendola could have sports hernia
According to Fox Sports, Patriots receiver Danny Amendola could need surgery that would keep him out 3-4 weeks.
As we told you a few days ago, Patriots receiver Danny Amendola could miss between 2-6 weeks after he was injured in Week 1. Earlier Sunday CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reported that it's possible he won't return for the first half of the season.
According to Fox Sports' Jay Glazer, Amendola tore the adductors in his hips. But the reason it's unclear how long Amendola will be out is because doctors are split on whether he has a sports hernia.
If Amendola does have a hernia, he'll need surgery. That would keep him out 3-4 weeks.
So if you're playing at home, Amendola will not be on the field for quite some time.
This, of course, will not help Amendola's reputation as a player who's somewhat injury prone.
