Report: QB Matt Hasselbeck to sign with Colts
Veteran quarterback Matt Hasselbeck will sign with the Colts according to a report. The 15-year vet spent the last two seasons in Tennessee where he started 24 games (16 in 2011), and threw for 4,938 yards, 25 TDs and 19 INTs. Before that, he spent two years in Green Bay and a decade with the Seahawks, where he appeared in Super Bowl XL.

And when it becomes official in Indianapolis, Hasselbeck will serve as Andrew Luck's backup. Drew Stanton, who was in that role last season, is now with the Cardinals where new coach Bruce Arians (who, incidentally, was the Colts' offensive coordinator in 2011) thinks he would be a capable starter should he win the job.
“I want to thank Matt for his contributions to our team over the last two years,” Titans general manager Ruston Webster said Monday in remarks released by the team. “He was an important part of the transition process -- he was a pro at every turn and he provided an example to the rest of the team. I know that we are a better team for his being here and we wish him the best.”
ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported that at least 10 teams were interested in Hasselbeck but Indy, it appears, will land him. This will undoubtedly lead to an exclamation-filled tweet from owner Jim Irsay.
