Report: Vontaze Burfict not expected to be suspended
The Bengals believe that their star linebacker will get to stay on the field for them following Sunday's incident in New England.
The Cincinnati Bengals are awaiting the NFL's decision on possible discipline for linebacker Vontaze Burfict, but it appears they are not bracing for much more than a fine.
According to ESPN's Ed Werder, a team source does not expect Burfict to be suspended for an alleged stomp of LeGarrette Blount's ankle in Sunday's loss to the New England Patriots. The NFL is also looking at a play where he went low at the knees of Martellus Bennett during a pass play.

Burfict began the season on a three-game suspension for his antics in the AFC Wild Card game against the Pittsburgh Steelers due to multiple repeated violations of player safety rules.
Should Burfict be cleared from the NFL's point of view, he and his teammates will attempt to get back in the win column on Sunday afternoon when the 0-6 Cleveland Browns come to Cincinnati for an AFC North showdown.
