Andre Holmes is on his way to Buffalo for a visit.
According to NFL Insider Mike Garafolo, the wide receiver will arrive at the Bills' headquarters today to see with the team. As it stands, however, no deal has been finalized.
Holmes spent the previous four seasons with the Oakland Raiders, peaking in 2014 with 693 yards and four touchdowns, however he's seen his production dip significantly in each of the last two season. The former undrafted free agent saw his role diminish considerably in that span, recording only 14 receptions in back-t0-back seasons.
Still, Holmes presents an interesting prospect for the Bills. At 6'4'' and 210 pounds, the former Hillsdale College star possesses a long, lanky frame ideal for red zone targets, something desperately needed in Buffalo. Holmes ran a 4.51 and posted a 35-inch vertical at the NFL Combine, making him a matchup problem for most cornerbacks.
Holmes' negotiations with the Bills were earlier made public via an error by the NFLPA.
